1. Overview

Pixelmind Ventures ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Sammy desktop application and the sammyapp.io website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and transparently.

2. Information We Collect

Sammy Desktop Application: Sammy runs entirely on your local machine. We do not collect, store, or transmit your source code, file contents, chat history, or API keys. All AI requests are sent directly from your machine to the AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or a private/local LLM server you configure) using the API key you supply. For private/local LLM servers, no API key is required and requests never leave your device. We have no access to those requests or responses.

Website (sammyapp.io): When you visit our website, standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. We use this data solely for security and aggregate analytics purposes.

Waitlist submissions: If you submit your email address to join the Sammy waitlist, we store that email address to notify you when paid tiers become available. We do not sell or share your email with third parties.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to operate and improve Sammy, respond to support inquiries, and send waitlist notifications. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is described here.

4. Third-Party AI Providers

When you use Sammy's AI chat features with a cloud provider, your messages are transmitted directly to OpenAI or Anthropic using your own API key. Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies. Pixelmind Ventures is not responsible for how those providers handle your data. If you configure a private/local LLM (such as Ollama or LM Studio), your messages are sent only to your local server and never leave your machine.

5. Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you request removal or until the waitlist program concludes. Website server logs are retained for up to 90 days. We do not retain any data from the Sammy desktop application.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of Sammy after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
